Partnership with FOT: A Decade of Bathtub & Shower Room Supply in Eastern Europe

First published: December 14, 2015 · Last updated: June 29, 2026 · By Jonny, Founder of Hydrorelax · Category: Customer Case Study · Customer: FOT (Eastern Europe)

Since December 2015, Hydrorelax has supplied FOT, an Eastern European acrylic bathtub and shower room manufacturer, with tempered shower glass, aluminum profiles, pulleys, handles and water-stop strips. Over 10 years later, the partnership is still growing. Our founder Jonny first visited the FOT factory in late 2015, and the cooperation has continued ever since. This article walks through what we actually do for FOT — from the bathtub mold workshop to the wooden-crate glass packaging, the showroom, and the people behind it all.

Inside the FOT Bathtub Workshop: How an Acrylic Tub Is Made

FOT manufactures its products according to industry standards, with each step on the production floor running under tight quality control. That discipline is one of the reasons FOT's products are well received across the European market.

When Jonny first walked into FOT's molding workshop in 2015, he saw dozens of bathtub molds lined up on yellow racks, each one labeled with its own model name. The mold defines the bathtub's outline, depth and edge curve, and every product in FOT's catalog begins here.

In the thermoforming area, FOT runs production according to industry standards, with temperature and timing tightly controlled at every step. That discipline is one of the reasons FOT's products are well received across the European market.

After forming, the back of the shell is reinforced to give the bathtub long-term structural strength. The worker pictured below is hand-laminating the reinforcement layer onto a freshly formed bathtub base — a labor-intensive but essential step that FOT does not skip.

Shipping Glass and Hardware Across the Ocean: How Hydrorelax Keeps Breakage Low

Hydrorelax ships 6 mm and 8 mm tempered shower room glass, aluminum profiles, and shower accessories (pulleys, handles, hinges and water-stop strips) from Hangzhou to FOT by ocean freight. Every glass panel travels in a custom wooden crate with foam cushioning, which has kept breakage on arrival very low across 10+ years of 30 to 45 day sea shipments.

The shower accessories we supply include pulleys built with 304 stainless steel and nylon wheels — the combination that determines whether a sliding shower door feels smooth or stiff in daily use. The distance from our warehouse in Hangzhou to FOT's port of entry is considerable, with constant vibration and handling along the way.

Aluminum profiles handle the journey well thanks to natural rigidity. Tempered glass, however, is fragile: one bad knock and it shatters. To protect every panel, Hydrorelax packs each piece individually inside a custom wooden crate with foam cushioning between sheets. Wooden battens are nailed one by one to prevent shifting in transit.

Wooden crating costs more than cardboard, but over the past decade FOT has consistently reported very low breakage on arrival. That saves their team a significant amount of after-sales work, and is one of the reasons Hydrorelax has remained their preferred shower-glass supplier year after year.

A Firsthand Look at FOT's Operations: Workshop, Warehouse and Showroom

FOT operates a clean acrylic bathtub production floor, an organized finished-goods warehouse, and a showroom area displaying complete shower rooms and bathtubs — all built with Hydrorelax tempered glass and shower accessories, ready for European distributors and home-improvement retailers.

FOT's housekeeping was one of the first things that impressed Jonny back in 2015. No oil stains on the floor, materials stacked neatly, defined walkways for workers, and clearly labeled safety zones. This level of discipline is one of the strongest signals of a serious bathtub manufacturer, and it has only improved over the years.

Just next door are three showrooms displaying FOT's "Favorit" and "Arena" series. Hydrorelax-supplied tempered glass, pulleys and handles are installed on every shower enclosure on display, and the sliding doors run smoothly under repeated use. This is precisely why we always insist on 304 stainless steel with nylon wheels for the pulleys — the feel of opening a shower door is what really shapes the end customer's impression of the whole product.

Earning Trust Over Ten Years: What a Long-Term B2B Partnership Really Looks Like

A B2B supply partnership that lasts a decade naturally becomes personal. Hydrorelax and FOT started as buyer and seller in 2015; today both teams know each other's families. That trust translates into smoother problem-solving, faster decision-making, and a willingness on both sides to share market intelligence about the European bathtub and shower market.

In 2015 the conversations between Hydrorelax and FOT were purely transactional — specifications, prices, lead times, shipping schedules. Today they cover product roadmaps, European market trends, and sometimes just family news. When the FOT team has a technical question late in their evening, they know they can message Jonny directly and get a real answer the next morning.

A long-term B2B partnership looks different from a single transaction. There are fewer misunderstandings, faster reactions when something goes wrong, and a kind of mutual investment where both sides genuinely want the other to succeed. Ten years is long enough for a child to grow into a young man — and long enough for a business relationship to become a real friendship.

Why the FOT Partnership Has Lasted 10+ Years: Four Concrete Reasons

Looking back at why this Eastern European customer has stayed with Hydrorelax since 2015, it comes down to four things:

  • Consistent component quality. Tempered glass, aluminum profiles, pulleys, handles and water-stop strips with stable specifications since 2015 — no recurring quality issues.
  • Wooden-crate packaging that survives sea freight. Very low breakage rate on 30 to 45 day shipments to Eastern Europe; saves FOT a significant amount of after-sales work.
  • Straightforward communication. Reply within 8 hours on weekdays, direct answers, no beating around the bush.
  • Fair pricing. Hydrorelax doesn't undercut to win orders, and doesn't raise prices to take advantage of a long relationship.

Looking Ahead

As FOT continues to expand its presence across Eastern Europe, Hydrorelax is proud to keep supporting their growth with reliable tempered glass, aluminum profiles, and shower hardware shipped from China. We look forward to continuing this partnership for many more years, and to helping more bathtub and shower room manufacturers achieve the same kind of stable, long-term supply relationship.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is FOT and how did Hydrorelax start working with them?

FOT is an Eastern European acrylic bathtub and shower room manufacturer. Hydrorelax founder Jonny made his first factory visit in December 2015 and started supplying them with tempered shower glass, aluminum profiles, pulleys, handles and water-stop strips. The cooperation has continued for over 10 years.

What products does Hydrorelax supply to bathtub and shower room manufacturers like FOT?

Hydrorelax supplies tempered shower room glass (6mm, 8mm, 10mm), aluminum profiles for shower enclosure frames, and shower accessories including pulleys, handles, hinges and water-stop strips. We also provide bathtub components such as whirlpool jets, pumps, control boxes, controllers, drains and overflow hardware. Full catalog covers 10,000+ SKUs across bathtub components, spa components and shower room accessories.
